Bingo in Oklahoma

Oklahoma has for a long time been analogous with Bingo. This is because the American Indian bands of Oklahoma have run Bingo games for years. Guests from all of the surrounding states pile in vans and head over to Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo over the weekends.

The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act followed a precedent setting decision by The U.S. Supreme Court just the prior year. Since that instance, 23 of the 39 American Indian bands located in Oklahoma have opened gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Amerindian tribes to take advantage of the wagering restrictions, and today run ten casinos of their own. Bingo is the game on which these casinos were founded. computerized games such as one armed bandits were not permitted, since they’re thought to lead to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma governing edicts has altered to permit gigantic Amerindian gaming gambling dens.
